This is the first installment of Craigslist Creepin' on Junkyard Mob. In this segment, I find cool stuff on local classifieds and give it a score based on arbitrary metrics. Today we have a 1977 2WD Half-Ton Chevrolet Suburban.

One of my favorite pastimes is browsing through my local classifieds for cars that I can't afford. This acceptably clean (and rare) 2WD Chevrolet C10 Suburban is one of those cars that I can't afford.

A two-wheel-drive squarebody Suburban is the best. Why? Because unlike your typical used four-wheel-drive squarebody, it doesn't ride like brick shithouse. Say what you want, but you know it's true.

PRICE 7/10

Overall, this 1977 Chevrolet Suburban is a pretty good deal.

This 1977 Chevrolet Suburban Classic comes with a "new motor" that apparently has 54,000 miles on it. Correct me if I'm wrong, but calling a 54k motor 'new' seems like a bit of a stretch. But for $4,950, the thing is pretty damn clean. If I had the money, I'd probably buy it myself.

As you might expect, this old people puller comes equipped with a dogged-out (and smogged-out) 350 coming in at a whopping 170-something horsepower. Thanks, California.

And despite the annoying rules, there's something to be said about classic cars from California. I've yet to find cheaper, cleaner classics anywhere else in the country.
